- Cast iron base, properly machined and fitted with brass leveling screws.
- Carriage sliding smoothly in dovetail grooved at the base. it can be clamped at any position. its slow motion is achieved through a slide screw attached by a brass knob. it carries a vernier and slides along a scale fixed on the iron base
- Vertical pillar of brass, fixed on the carriage. it has a scale and a slider that carries the vernier with stainless steel embedded.

It is mounted on a 22 mm diameter steel shaft 18 INCH long fitted on a heavy tripod base. the telescope can be accurately positioned with the help of the two-micrometer screws in the vertical and horizontal planes
The telescope is fitted with 17.5 cms focus achromatic object-glass of special quality with 25 mm clear aperture,10x Ramsden eyepiece and cross line. the telescope is focused by rack and pinion and has a range from one meter to infinity.

NEWTON RING MICROSCOPE COMPACT TYPE ( CAT NO. 667-ii )
This Newton ring’s microscope is compact type with built in all necessary arrangement required for conducting newton’s ring experiment . The whole microscope tube unit can be raised or lowered and can be clamped in any desired position. The focusing of the microscope unit is done by rack and pinion arrangement.
The longitudinal movement of the microscope saddle for the purpose of the Rings is done by rotating the drum. The 26 mm movement can be read by scale and on the divided drum to 0.001 cm.
Newton’s Ring set consisting of the optical flat glass and one Plano-convex Lens (50mm radius) arranged inside a metal case resting over the stage of the instrument which can be adjusted for the alignment of the measuring line . An adjustable reflector plate in the required direction is fitted on to the side of the set. The condenser lens is provided in front of the reflector.
